1. Appointment & Cancellation Policy
We understand that life can be unpredictable, but to ensure fairness and efficiency, we kindly ask all clients to adhere to the following:
- Cancellations must be made with at least 24 hours’ notice.
- Cancellations made within 24 hours of the scheduled appointment or failure to attend will incur a 100% cancellation fee (full grooming price).
- The cancellation fee must be paid in full before another appointment can be scheduled.
- Appointments cancelled with more than 24 hours' notice will not incur any charges.
- We reserve the right to decline future bookings for frequent cancellations or no-shows.
2. Grooming Consent & Acknowledgement
By attending your appointment at Deco Dogs, you acknowledge and agree to the following:
- You have discussed and agreed upon the desired grooming style or service with a Deco Dogs team member before the session begins.
- You give full permission for Deco Dogs staff to groom your dog in accordance with the agreed grooming plan.
- You understand that grooming may include procedures such as clipping, scissoring, dematting, bathing, drying, and brushing, depending on your pet’s coat and condition.
3. Pet Health, Behaviour & Safety
You confirm that your dog is fit, healthy, and up to date with vaccinations, flea, and worm treatments.
- You agree to inform us of any medical conditions, behavioural issues, allergies, or sensitivities that may affect the grooming process.
- Aggressive or severely anxious behaviour may result in interruption or termination of the grooming session for safety reasons. In such cases, the full or partial grooming fee may still be charged at our discretion.
- We reserve the right to refuse service if we believe it is not in the best interests of the dog, staff, or business.
4. Matted Coats & Coat Condition
- If your dog’s coat is matted, you accept that dematting may not always be possible without causing discomfort.
- In accordance with the Animal Welfare Act 2006, Deco Dogs may clip the coat short to prevent suffering.
- You acknowledge that clipping a matted coat may uncover pre-existing skin conditions or cause temporary irritation. Deco Dogs will not be held liable for any such conditions arising from mat removal.
5. Liability
- While every care is taken with your pet, grooming is carried out at the owner's risk.
- Deco Dogs will not be responsible for any pre-existing conditions, underlying health issues, or adverse reactions that occur during or after grooming.
6. Photography & Social Media
- We may take photographs or short videos of your dog before, during, or after grooming for use on our website or social media.
- Please inform us in writing if you do not consent to your pet being photographed.
7. Payment Terms
- Payment is due in full at the time of service.
- We accept card and cash payments.
- No future appointments will be booked until any outstanding balance is settled.
